Q: What is your favourite colour?A: WhiteQ: Who first inspired you to start making/ creating and what words of advice did they give you?A: White is a blank canvas. You can go anywhere from there.
I have always been around creativity. My earliest memories are of my great aunts' and paternal grandma's paintings. My maternal grandma wrote poems and made hats for the china animal doorstops.
I am not sure I have had any specific advice other than being around people who are not afraid to create.Q: Where and when do you most like to work?A: At a large table with lots of natural light. Often with 6Music on.Q: Which season of the year most inspires you?A: SpringQ: What can't you work without?A: Colour and texture. Some head space.Q: Whose work do you most admire?A: There are too many to mention but Mother Nature springs to mind.Q: What is your favourite piece of fiction and why?A: I don't read regularly but I loved The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit by Ray Bradbury and Promethea, a graphic novel series, by Alan Moore.Q: What do you do to relax?A: I like to watch my children sleeping - just for few minutes. Then curl up next to my husband and watch a good film.Q: Describe your artistic style in 3 words. A: Playful, intricate, inspiring.
