I love making notebooks & sketchbooks, the quality of the paper I use is very important – I love the creamy richness of the cartridge paper & the texture of the card I use for the covers, it makes all the difference when you come to write or sketch in them.

Q: What is your favourite colour?A: GreenQ: Who first inspired you to start making/ creating and what words of advice did they give you?A: I remember sitting drawing with my Nana when I was very small, she's nearly 80 now and gives me advice all the time!Q: Where and when do you most like to work?A: At my desk in my studio in the mornings after the kids have gone to school, with a cup of tea. Q: Which season of the year most inspires you?A: AutumnQ: What can't you work without?A: For bookbinding it would have to be my bone folder (although it would be a hard job without my guillotine and computer!).Q: Whose work do you most admire?A: I absolutely love the work of Maija Isola and Lucienne Day, two inspirational women.Q: What is your favourite piece of fiction and why?A: Oh it has to be Pride and Predudice by Jane Austen, I could read it over and over again (and have done), I guess I'm just an old romantic.Q: What do you do to relax?A: I taught myself to crochet last year which I love, it's very relaxing.Q: Describe your artistic style in 3 words. A: Elegant, muted, timeless.
