Having made my own clothes from an early age, I worked for some years as a knitwear designer with my own shops.
After selling the business I pursued my other passion, gardening, taking a course in garden design which led to running a small nursery alongside a planting design service.
A third major house renovation encouraged an interest in home interiors and I returned to knitting, this time producing unique cushions.
The connecting thread in these projects has been COLOUR - and not just bright! I love working with more subtle shades too and I'm constantly surprised how the look and mood of a design can change just by adapting the colours.
I feel that 'Squash Bespoke Cushions' fit well with the current trend for hand-crafted interiors but the bold designs and vibrant colours ensure a contemporary rather than 'homespun' look.
Although I usually work with my own, original designs, in a project called 'Creative Hearts' with the British Heart Foundation I used traditional folkart motifs which looked striking too!
If you would like several cushions or perhaps have one knitted in your own choice of colour please email me through customerservice@seekandadore.com. Don't forget you can request a free yarn shade card!
