Materials

The necklet is made up of what I would describe as a book tiles which have been lovingly created using the cover from an old book written by a lady author. The corners are rounded to make it more aesthetically pleasing then the edges are covered with a line from the book and adorned with a paper rose, The roses and paper beads are formulated from the pages within, using the paper filigree technique and mounted onto the tiles. They are then connected together using antique gold chain, paper beads and faux pearls.

Meet the maker
I describe myself as a Book Sculptor. Books have always been an important part of my life; the smell, the touch of the paper and the adventures contained therein. Incorporating that with my love of stitch seems a perfect outcome for an end of life book.
