Care Instruction: Please keep this item safe from rain, washing up, swimming, and the bathroom If your brooch gets wet allow to dry naturally, do not use a hairdryer. Please ensure you store your jewellery in its own box or separate from other jewellery so it doesn't get damaged. Do not store in a damp area, eg the bathroom

Materials

The brooch bar which I would describe as a book tile has been lovingly created using the cover from an old book written by a lady author. The corners are rounded to make it more aesthetically pleasing then the edges are covered with a line from the book. The roses are formulated from the pages within, using the paper filigree technique. One or two are embellished with faux pearls taken from a necklace from another decade then backed with a brass pin.

Meet the maker
I describe myself as a Book Sculptor. Books have always been an important part of my life; the smell, the touch of the paper and the adventures contained therein. Incorporating that with my love of stitch seems a perfect outcome for an end of life book.
