A real eye catcher, handwoven fine silver tube with a brushed silver twist detail and handmade silver clasp with lace detail. This particular necklace was hired by the BBC for Anna Calder-Marshall to wear in an episode of New Tricks 'Object of Desire'. Above is a picture of her (scroll down to last image) wearing my woven necklace, brooch, bracelet & ring - all of which she wore in the episode.
You can dip this into silver dip following the manufacturers instructions or use a soft toothbrush and a drop of liquid soap.
I made the clasp using precious metal clay and pressed a piece of lace onto the surface before firing at a high temperature. The tube was hand woven using my index finger as a mandrel as I went. Finally I textured a piece of sterling silver using a circular punch to create the pattern followed by a fierce metal brush on my pendant drill to create a satin finish; it was then twisted around the tube to complete the look.
