Product info

Fire Dog:
These individual stoneware clay pieces are textured to resemble fabrics, embossed metal or leather. The glaze is matt with a slight metallic look.
Reminiscent of Archeological finds, or small fossilised mythological creatures.

Care instructions

This is Ceramic. It is quite sturdy but please do not drop it. Display it where the cat won't knock it onto the floor. It can go outside in the Summer, but not during the Winter. Do not expose it to frost or fire. It may crack or shatter. Please enjoy it!

Materials

Made from Stoneware clay, decorated with a dry sky-blue glaze and brushed with oxide to emphasise the raised textures. I make texture by carving into a large flat slab of plaster. Or directly from fabric and found textures.

Dimensions

Width: 12 cm Height: 17 cm Depth: 25 cm

Meet the maker
Greetings. I live and work in London. UK. This is where I create my Ceramics and art work. I am also a Printmaker and Jeweller. I love travelling. Researching Ghanaian Adinkra symbols and food. My unknown fact is... I bake a mean (wonderful) Bara Brith. It's a spiced Welsh tea bread.
