Great British Makers: The Awards

The votes have been counted and the results of the Great British Makers campaign are now in! We’re ready to tell the world! Meet the winners

The Great British Makers campaign comprises two awards:

  • Britain’s Favourite Designer-maker
  • Britain’s Most Creative Designer-maker (awarded in a number of categories)

Britain’s Favourite Designer-maker is an accolade awarded by the British public based on the number of votes attributed to a particular designer-maker.

Britain’s Most Creative Designer-maker will be awarded in a number of categories as follows:

Ceramics Jewellery
Glass Freestyle (media not listed elsewhere)
Wood Sustainability
Metal (inc. silversmithing) Innovation
Textiles Lifetime achievement award

These awards will be judged by a panel of experts who include:

  • Angela Linforth, Editor Homes & Antiques Magazine
  • Stuart Akroyd, Glassmaker
  • Della Tinsley, Director of Treasure and The East London Design Show
  • Sian Evans, Jeweller , Designer and Lecturer
  • Dan Goode, Chief Seeker, Seek & Adore

Any designer-maker can enter the awards – it’s not just for people who sell on Seek & Adore. It’s a great way for designer-makers to raise their profile. Entry for both awards is now closed.

 

The winners have been announced and will receive extensive publicity in a variety of publications including Homes & Antiques Magazine, and the opportunity to sell their work for free on Seek & Adore for one year.
