4. If you were to offer our designer-makers one piece of advice about selling on Seek & Adore what would it be?

“To tell the story behind your work. I love that Seek & Adore lets makers share their inspirations, ideas and processes. The story you tell brings the pieces to life and when customers understand your work they are much more likely to buy!”

What our makers say about us

Posted on 3 January 2012 by Hatty Fawcett

Don’t take our word for it, hear what some of other designer-makers say about selling on Seek & Adore:

“Uploading products on SeekandAdore.com is incredibly easy and stress free.  I can finish making an item and have it ready for sale within half an hour!” Sally Weatherill, Textiles designer maker

“It’s costly and time consuming creating a selling website. SeekandAdore.com makes it easy for me, supporting me with marketing and PR so I spend more time in my studio.” Kate Schuricht, Ceramicist

“It is very exciting to have received over £2000 of orders with SeekandAdore.com. It has also been great for raising my profile as a jeweller and getting my pieces press coverage with the Guardian and The Christmas Magazine.  SeekandAdore.com’s website is easy to use and adding products is quick and simple – great for a busy maker!” Antonia Ross, Jeweller

“SeekandAdore.com is very flexible. When I go on holiday, or if I am at a craft fair, I just put my pages in ‘holiday mode’. My work is still visible but customers can’t buy from me until I return.” Richard Shock, Wood turner

“The cost of joining SeekandAdore.com for the whole year is cheaper than a weekend craft fair. My work is marketed and available 365 days of the year without the travelling and stress – perfect!” Claire Lovett, Ceramicist

“On Seek & Adore customers can find out more about me. Whether it’s reading about me, keeping in touch via my wall posts or asking me direct questions I feel really connected to the people who buy from me.” Timea Sido, Ceramicist

“I was a little hesitant about selling on-line as, from my direct selling experience I knew people like to see, feel and experience the work, but I still think SeekandAdore.com is the best online store in terms of format and ease of use.” Amanda Simmons, Glass maker
