Little Michael Jackson of the Jackson Five - Engraving.
Biog
I completed a degree in 2002 at the University of Wolverhampton in 3D Design (Glass), where I specialised in fusing and slumping.
In 2007, I returned to college full time to pursue further training in hot glass and cold working techniques where I received the student of the year award and went on to complete the professional development course.
I have exhibited work at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York, I also took part in 'Centrepiece'- a collaborative exhibition in Birmingham and most recently, I took a trade stand in the newcomer's hall at the British Craft Trade Fair.
I use cup casing and trailing techniques and include pick ups in my work. Cutting and polishing are used when cold working to reveal detail within the pieces.
People and the mind fascinate me and I'm developing a body of work based on this whilst studying a Master's in Design and Applied Art, again in Wolverhampton.
I simply enjoy working with glass, it's challenging, fascinating and sometimes frustrating. I hope you will find as much pleasure in the pieces on my page as I have in making them.
