Biog
Living in the country and lucky enough to be able to keep chickens and pigs,I wrote and illustrated The Illustrated Guide to Chickens with a foreword by HRH The Prince of Wales. I then wrote a similar book about pigs (and I'm proud to say the HRH The Princess Royal has kindly written the foreword for this one in her capacity as Patron of the Gloucestershire Old Spots Society). I soon found I loved painting all domestic animals and that chickens and feather paintings in particular look wonderful on cushions.
I am a member of a dynamic art group in Surrey and exhibit annually with local Art Societies and if selected, the RWS and RI in London - my most recent exhibition was at the Animal Art Fair at Fulham Palace. I was lucky enough to win the RWS Windsor & Newton Prize at their Open Exhibition in 2010.
My later book The Illustrated Guide to Ducks, Geese & other domestic fowl is just on the bookshelves and along with my hens I am now the proud owner of a charming pair of turkeys that will definitely not be on the table at Christmas!
