Silversmithing work - Group of silver dishes
Biog
My curiosity for Jewellery making was sparked by my Foundation Art and Design tutor at Hastings College of Arts and Technology. But it was a chance glance at the Kent Institute of Art and Design’s prospectus that confirmed my enthusiam. I remember the prospectus falling open on their Silversmithing, Goldsmithing and Jewellery course and thinking ‘I want to be able to do that.’
Following my degree I went on to complete a residential year with the Bishopsland Educational Trust (2005-2006) where I first began to make the flower catch range from my current collection and began my career as a practicing Jeweller and Silversmith.
I am now based in London working from my studio at Cockpit Arts in Deptford. I exhibit nationally and have shown my work at Collect and Goldsmiths’ Fair as well as teaching at the University for the Creative Arts Rochester as a sessional lecturer on the Silversmithing, Goldsmithing and Jewellery degree.
